It was not reasonably possible for Darkwood, the right-of-way boat, to avoid the contact with Orange Mecanix when it was clear that Orange Mecanix was not keeping clear, so she didn't break RRS 14.

Darkwood's score sustained physical damage through no fault of her own by the action of Orange Mecanix that was breaking RRS 10 and 14, but she does not meet the requirements of RRS 62.1(b) because her score was not made significantly worse.
Indeed, too few of the race has been sailed to give redress and score Darkwood for the Fastnet race and the time to make repairs was less than an hour.

Fastwave failed to deliver the request for redress within the protest time limit, as required by RRS 62.2.
There is no good reason for the International jury to extend the time limit.
